My name is Kyesha Headd, I am a New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Kean University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from Pace University. I also possess an M.B.A. program with a concentration in Finance from Seton Hall University.

 

My knowledge has evolved from working in the psychiatric emergency room at Rutgers University Hospital in Newark, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care Acute Psychiatric Services (APS) at Piscataway, the homes of families, domestic violence shelters, and HIV clinics. I have worked as a Crisis Intervention Counselor and Mental Health Screener, in the communities of Essex County, conducting safety and risk assessments for several years.

 

There are a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions that I utilize to address depression, anxiety, aggression, self-injurious behavior, and mood disorders. Therapeutic techniques incorporated, include but are not limited to, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectal Behavior Therapy. With God’s grace, your willingness, and the highest level of confidence, we can work together to yield positive results.
